Starting a boarding operation is basically a flight maneuver that enables one ship to doc on another one. The action is done by the pilot, but other roles may assist him and provide bonuses (e.g. by disabling systems of the target ship with gunnery or boosting some values as commander). Special maneuver rules while being doced have to be established.

The actual bording process, the fighting, can be done as one dice role when only NPCs are involved. Special equiment for boarding, number of tropps, and tropp equipment and traning may result in modifiers to these roles. The commander should also be able to boost his boarding team. As soon as PCs are involved the baording operation is executed on a battlemap with deck plans like a regular fight.
